"His father, Youdtana, distinguished himself with a career as Governor of the State Railway of Thailand"
I guess that's why the railways here run so wonderfully efficiently, are clean and punctual, and not saddled with an unconscionable level of debt (roughly 100 billion baht, and ongoing annual losses of 10 billion baht/year).

They have done very well for themselves on civil servant salaries, have they not? Whenever I think of Thai railways I'm reminded of that horrible scrote that raped that child and threw her still alive from the train window. Turned out he was a connected lad and employed due to his family connections in teh railway heirarchy. <duck>ing sickening and I never used a train since then. Wankers

The English Judge in this case should be struck off. She acknowledges that Pratyayoud is not a child, she points out that he himself is responsible and (quoted from the article) it was outrageous behaviour - unpleasant, disrespectful and potentially, deeply offensive.
She (the English Judge) has hard evidence, witnesses and a confession to the crime, yet she lets him off with a slap on the wrist. If this had been a migrant Romanian worker would the same deal apply? If this had been an Englishman (in his own country) he would now be on a register.
She let him off because of who his parents were and did not follow the full spirit of the law.
BTW, I have been watching the Godfather recently, as I was influenced by the film is it ok for me to start hacking the heads of prized race horses?

And another thing, in the article Pratyayoud claims that he was influenced by watching Facebook videos but then states that he does not have a Facebook account. How do you watch Facebook videos without an account?

Ah perhaps a ''traditional Thai lunch was a good time to break before sentence was passed, the judge perhaps experienced a wonderful Shinwatra cuisine style tradition.

How do you watch Facebook videos without an account? No he was watching you tube videos. These can be watched by people without an account. Pity, if he had said Facebook and then said he had not had an account I would be investigating whether this was the case with a view to a perjery prosecution if I were a cop.

He would not be on a register for this in the UK except for Scotland at the moment but the law is in the process of being changed. At the moment it is not a sexual offence there.

Tosh. He was convicted of outraging public decency. Recently a couple openly had sex in a pizza shop. They were given 12-month community order - no jail time, no fine. A man with previous convictions for sexually assaulting women was convicted of the same charge and got a suspended sentence. A man who stripped naked in a bingo hall was fined GBP 40. His punishment for what is less offensive is consistent with the other sentences.

Like yourself I could find shed-loads of judgements that back up my belief but these would be selective in their nature. There are many cases out there where the perps have gotten more severe sentences for a lot less. Therefore, can we agree to disagree? Peace be with you.
