I just don't get it. A leather cased ball gets smashed by the bat and skids off the ground at over 160 kph hundreds of times during a match, and they think rubbing some sand on it will change it.

Wouldn't they be better off smuggling a hacksaw blade onto the pitch and cutting the wickets in half when no-one is looking?

The short and the tall of it is they will just become twenty20 whores. So what if they have missed out this year in they IPL, by the time next years auction comes around it will have all been forgotten and the people who run these things don't really give a dame about the long term effect it will have on the 5 day format of the game.
I just hope one day someone picks up that little gobshite Warner and buries the little twat in the turf. As for Smith, he's an idiot and i think he will regret what's happened for the rest of his career.
