Africa is tearing apart. Mostly slowly, very slowly, but at times clearly visible.
Here a nice BBC clip from Kenya where a rift appeared through the Nairobi-Narok highway.

A few places I have visited frighten me. Places where the Earth opens up like Kenya and Alaska in particular.

Reminds me of some of the old salts one used to see and no doubt do still see loitering outside of the Gare du Nord railway station in Paris. Frankly speaking I could never be persuaded to part with my Francs though.  |
