This is still developing. They are closing their test facility. They claim the programme has achieved it's goals.

Methinks he got that message on his recent trip to China. I thought at the time he was summoned, they just let him announce it like it was his idea.

I don't want to sound too doubtful, but I wonder how many times in the past ten years Kim talked about 'suspending' tests only to start again?

How many times in the past has a standing US President ever met with a North Korean leader ?...answer None....Trumpton would be the first...my point being times change, there is always a first time for everything

Just to make sure Trump doesn't have to invent reasons why the talks are not going well and why he bails out, NK is being helpful "North Korea Says U.S. Must Stop Defending Israel, Which is 'Destroying' Middle East North Korea has condemned the U.S. and its alliance with Israel, which continued to experience deadly clashes between security forces and Palestinian protestors. On Friday, the official Korean Central News Agency called the U.S. out for repeatedly defending Israel from criticism at the United Nations Human Rights Council, which U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley once called "a haven for dictators" and has threatened to pull the U.S. out of. Palestinians have threatened to lodge a complaint with the international body over rising casualties as Israeli forces reportedly opened fire on Palestinian demonstrators near the Gaza border, where dozens have been killed and thousands injured since violent protests erupted over Israel's historic and ongoing seizure of land." www.yahoo.com/news/north-korea-says-u-must-213757488.html

It was said last year that the latest nuclear explosion had caused severe damage to the mountain in which we had the detonations. China stated at the time that further testing on site might be too dangerous and lead to disasters. So it would seem Kim closes a site he couldn't use anymore anyway. Mind you, it does make l'll Kim look good

A bit tongue-in-cheek, but some American 'friends' have been suggesting that Trump deserves a Nobel Peace prize. I think Kim Jong-Un and Moon Jae-In deserve it more for ended a war which started between them in 1950. Of course after Obama got one, the prize that is, and Aung San Suu Kyi might have to return hers, I think that if it makes Trump and/or his supporters happy we should give him one. BTW in 2009 we had "Republicans contended that he had won more for his star power and oratorical skills than for his actual achievements, and even some Democrats privately questioned whether he deserved it." Wonder if we can swap Republicans with Democrats in this sentence

Didn't the last test collapse the tunnel and kill everyone? No wonder they are suspending further tests, until they can train a few more.

Well yet again we see all actions have a consequence. In this case it would appear to be of benefit to the human race. As an athletic event though the human race is one race that Tronald Dump is ineligible for.
