The above report highlights the enormous gap between those who have and those who have not.
If any of the governments past present and future had any real concern for the people of Thailand they would have and still can start a rural education system designed to eliminate these problems along with he handing out of the relevant food stuffs.
Educate the people to come to realize that mobile phones and all the modern day gizmo's are not important. The care and the correct dietary input for the children will in the long term lead to a future that is far better health wise , work wise and financially where such aforementioned gizmo's are affordable and perhaps useful.
Of course an educated mass of the lower orders is a dreadful ideal for those in power irrespective of the rhetoric that those power holders spout comncerning the underprivileged in Thai society. The very though that ones power or orders should be questioned indeed amounts to heresy.
Thailand is sad to say ''spiraling down into an abyss of poverty and debt bondage to the detriment of the country and its peoples future.''

Yes it does highlight the discrepancies. I wonder what the differences are in other countries between rural folk and city people.
eg What's the average IQ of someone from St.Ives in Cornwall. Oi be thinking that with all those scarecrows and tractors it might be lower than average. Compared to say Cambridge.
I also wonder how much is down to the parents/genes and how much environment... By that I mean to what extent the disparities get compounded thru the generations... eg lack of money or education leading to sub-optimal nutrition education and it spirals, sometimes affecting the DNA/genes of the next generation

Cunning though....don't forget that.

The problem with human logic is that it is too quick to assume that when B happens after A it was A that caused B. Causality is seldom that simple.

Ouch Fletch, it almost sounds as if you know someone from this backward part of the world.

I once read this internet MEME that stated....
Every time a man looks at a good looking woman his IQ drops by 10 points. If you're a man that doesn't have 10 points to lose then you're in serious trouble.
Don't worry lads...it was only a MEME!
