the doctor in the cave is Australian, he abandoned a holiday to assist the team. His father died shortly after the rescue was finished.
The diver who died is to have a statue erected inhis honour in Chiang Rai.

Thats great at least Thailand recognises what these guys have done, i read somewhere, some are getting free TG flights to Thailand for life as well As i mentioned previously, if this was the UK, some jobsworthy would be trying to lay criminal charges against the rescuers for HSE violations |

Interview with Jonathon on BBC. He read some sources said it was down to luck that they found the team. They have a method, find an air pocket, call out and sniff the air. The smell was how they knew the team was there before they saw them.
