Well, did I notice! Queues on platforms, queues at ticket office level and queues outside along the road. The last I didn't see myself, I was a bit late. Saw people fed up and returning their ticket for a coupon. Trains late and full, full, full, even sardines would have started to complain. This evening still not much better although at 8PM late enough to not have too long queues even when there's only one train every 15 minutes. What a day. Mind you, in twenty years this was for me the first time I was effected this way by a 'malfuntion' in the BTS system. Not too bad. Don't know how that compares with Singapore, Hongkong, London (or Amsterdam that little big city). Things are improving ... NOT! Victory Monument 09:10 wait, move a level, wait, after 10 minutes a full train stops, let it pass, 10 minutes later another stops, a few people manage to squeeze in, wait 10 minutes, lucky not only I but even by backpack fits somehow. PhayaThai, some adventurous lot try to get in while two small ladies try to get out, Ratchathewi keep smiling, Siam. Rumour has it the BMTS has informally made contact with the Guinness Publishing House to check if the load factor of 213% over the maximum allowed by the original supplier of the carriages constitutes yet another record Actually Siam was not bad once I manage to get out of the train on the Sukhumvit line. Very small queue for Silom line, Train came after only a few minutes, not really full. Probably again a mess trying to go home tonight

the plot thickens, it's a ... ... signaling problem, with interference where it shouldn't be. Makes you wonder if some people noticed mobile phone connectivity problems along the BTS tracks. Still all solved by Saturday, allegedly. "... TOT and DTAC which is licensed to use the 2300-MHz spectrum became embroiled in the matter on Monday when BTSC, on its website, accused a mobile phone operator of causing signal interference. The operator was presumed to be DTAC as it uses the 2300-2370-MHz frequency range. The Skytrain operator has for over a decade enjoyed using the unlicensed 2400-MHz spectrum range for the train's signalling system. Speaking after the meeting, NBTC secretary-general Takorn Tantasith said the regulator recommended BTSC shift the frequency range from the 2400-MHz to the 2415-MHz slot to between 2480 and 2495-MHz to between 2480 and 2495-MHz to avoid potential signal interference. Mr Takorn said TOT will temporarily shut down 10 of its 2300-MHz base stations along Skytrain routes over the next few days to let the BTSC replace signal transmission equipment. ..."
