Millions potentially excluded from Indian citizenship in controversial registry New Delhi (CNN)Indian authorities have left the names of almost 4 million people off a controversial registry list in the northeast border state of Assam, effectively casting a shadow over their citizenship. The publication of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) on Monday comes amid popular anger over illegal migration into Assam, which shares a porous border with Bangladesh. Proponents of the registry say it will help root out illegal Bangladeshi immigrants, but the move has prompted fears of possible deportation among Assam's hundreds of thousands of Bengali-speaking Muslims. The decision to impose a state-wide register of citizens has drawn parallels with Myanmar's Rakhine State, where Rohingya Muslims have long faced persecution owing to their Bangladeshi ancestry. edition.cnn.com/2018/07/30/asia/india-citizen-survey-intl/index.html

Now I'm not going to say that it takes one to know one but those 'conservatives' might be outraged as there's only registration not more (as yet). Still it might be a step in the 'rightish' direction? Since Jews already have taken the yellow star what symbol shall we give those muslims? Mind you, be careful with what you wish for. dearDonaldTrump just stated in a rally in Tampa for voter registration in Florida, that you need an ID to buy groceries.

But why is there no response from the countries in the region that adhere to and hold the some religious beliefs and similar allied cultural backgrounds ?
Strange is it not that the liberals in the aforementioned region are indeed conspicuous by inaction's.
The KSA has not signed the Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees.
On the other hand, the KSA accepts immigrants. That means people are allowed to enter the KSA if the KSA believes that they will benefit from the immigrants. That is very different from accepting refugees who are accepted as they would be persecuted if they did not achieve asylum.
Immigrants in the KSA are also not well treated in the KSA. While refugees in Sweden and Germany are given benefits like citizens and sometimes beyond what citizens get, immigrants in the KSA have no rights. According to the Kafala system they are allowed to stay only as subjects of a citizen. It is a kind of serfdom, sometimes slavery.
Saudi Arabians are very racist and will not take in anyone that is not Saudi Arabian they don't care about Muslims they only care about Wealth, Power and keeping the Jews in Israel happy by any means necessary.
They do not care about the well being of Muslims in Muslim countries or non - Muslim countries they ONLY CARE ABOUT THEMSELVES and only help anybody when it benefits them. Not many. It would be interesting to see a chart showing all countries' participation in refugee relief.

I'm sure that KSA would be more helpful if only those refugees would adhere to the right kind of belief. Keep in mind 'muslim' is a bit too broad, in a way just like 'christian'. Adhering to the Saudi version might also be just as tough as being refugee already though.
Of course, what with the 'bad' blood between Pakistan and BanglaDesh, help from Pakistan seem unlikely.

Well perhaps the 'refugee's' might find the passage below a handy guideline to assist in their integration process. They made the choice, they need to make the changes.
Here are a few tips for immigrants who are looking forward to settling in Europe.
Choose a country where your language is spoken or learn the local language as soon as possible.
Choose a country that accepts your religion or lack of religion. Do not try to impose your beliefs on others.
Be ready to water down your culture and lose it progressively, that is assimilation.
Respect the law of your new nation. This means acknowledging that people may have more rights and freedom than in your home country.
Don’t stick with your own kind (racial or religious groups). Integrate!

Neither am I, but I have never said so. Next of course is trying to understand the difference between an immigrant and a refugee
