BTW I knew the lake by it's Mongolian name of Lop Nur. Ages ago I read a few books on Sven Hedin, the Swedish explorer. His travels were around 1870 - 1900 if I remember correctly. He described much of what he saw including that great, real great wall of China which seems to end in the Tarim Basin.

OK, a question for our non Dutch speaking audience: IBM is a multinational technology company, what do the initials IBM stand for? Easy.... International... between Nations or across nations......not hiding lots of countries behind one pseudo nation.
