Significant milestone today as the exchange rate v US$ "fell" to close over 1500 for the first time ever. Six weeks ago, $1 bought 1365 Kyats. Today, it's 1524.
I'm happy my contract pays me in Dollars.
I don't pay much attention to other currencies, but how's the Baht been doing versus the Dollar lately? I'm going to Bangkok in a few days on a visa run (holding on tight to my passport this time). What's a good rate for Baht v Dollar these days?

Looking round many currencies seem to going up and down in a day more times than a whores draws on payday.
Currency speculators are it seems having bring and buy day, a swap shop time.
Political issues abound too, my opinion is that we are heading into a financial storm, possibly a depression too, however I think it will be a short lived financial tempest though.
Mind you there may be an increase in balcony diving events in Pattaya if the financial tempest is a prolonged one
