many are quick to knock the Thais, one thing I love about this country is the way the elderly are taken care of and repsected. Please do remind me. How much is it the elderly get from the state each month after a lifetime of work? Is it still 500 baht/month? Or is it now more? Not much sign of "taken care of" or "respected" there.

The best carers in Australia are the Thais and Philippines. Age care facilities snap them up.

It starts of at 600 Baht/month for 60 year old people.. My Mrs can claim hers in November. It goes up 100 Baht every 10 years.

I believe they get out of the system what they put into the system. How many have actually contributed to the state each month? The vast majority pay no taxes, should have invested in LTFs and RMFs instead of lao kao and hi lo.
