Interesting that Brits seem to rather stay in Germany or France "Four in 10 Brits in NL have done nothing to regulate their residency Some 39% of British people living in the Netherlands have done nothing yet to regulate their stay post Brexit, according to a survey of over 1,700 British nationals by DutchNews.nl. The lack of information, confusion about what to do and a wish that Brexit ‘would go away’ are among the reasons why people have been reluctant to take action, the survey found. A further 31% have checked out the Dutch immigration service website for information, but just 15% have applied for a residency permit. Despite reports of a surge in applications by Brits to become German or French, just 10% have applied for Dutch nationality. A further 14% said they were worried that becoming Dutch would affect their right to return to Britain for a longer period So obviously these people are not the Europhiles i bet they claim to be...

I think it's the uncertainty which make people fall back on ... what they have. In this case British Citizenship with all that entitles.
Personally I think the 'Europhile' label should be more a 'We want no change' label. That would be the rights to be anywhere in the E.U., the right to work anywhere in the E.U. Bound to change and for those abroad it may be seen as a change for the worse.
People from mixed country marriage take precautions for their children to make sure their right will be diminish. Sound a bit funny but it's understandable that Nigel Farange applied for German citizenship for two of his kids (the one with a German mother). One tries to take care of ones offspring.

87% said they worried about the quality of weed in the German POW camps after the occupation in 2023.

I'm afraid that's not on offer and what with a still unclear picture of what Britain wants (apart from cake and eat it) the only thing on offer is what she has already, the right to leave the E.U. From there we can continue negotiations assuming someone is still interested.

Rumour has it the Netherlands will put pressure on Germany and make sure our experts in Amsterdam take care of the provisioning of emigres and refugees. Payment in Euro preferred, but GBP accepted in 1-to-1 rate (or as applicable at the time). Quality of weed guaranteed by the European Institute for Food Safety.

Yes but Brussels laws will no longer count when the EU management moves to Stuttgart.

What %tage of them take part in Oktoberfest? Who cares? Our grandparents fought to keep cold smoked sausage and superb German beer from taking over the UK. I'd keep the beer personally but let's stick it up em and their pals in the low countries who overcharge us....6.50 Euros for a beer!

The rumour spread here of rounding up emigres and refugees to put them in holding camps is just that. I do not think Britain will do that, although we still remember what Kitchener did. Even if Britain would set up camps, main reason for Brexit some have it, I would think Brits would applaud other countries to pick up that trend. Don't worry though, we still have the ECJ. That should ensure Dutch weed, French chefs, Italian pastas. Oh and of course lots of nice BBC television series dubbed in German

Now although I won't commit a crime for a cold smoked sausage, but Germans really know how to make nice and tasty ones. As for the 6.50 Euro's for a beer, well even Thai know foreigners have money, so why would a small glass of beer in Amsterdam cost less? Mind you, for 6 quid you'd probably get a full pint in London rather than a 200ml glass with two fingers of foamhead.

Cold smoked sausage is disgusting when compared with a herby sizzling UK sausage rubl....nothing will ever change my mind on this important matter. Do the Germans even understand or have a translation for Heinz baked beans?
