It's an Islamic paradise, just like Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Somalia, the UAE, Chechnya, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Iran and Iraq. All synonyms for Janna. And, joy of joys, it won't be long until Europe is equally delightful under the jackboot of fascist Islam. |

Well at least there's no corruption, drugs or prostitution there. One of the cleanest countries in this region regarding corruption. Anything related to drugs may get the legal mandatory death penalty. Stops many but not all. As for prostitution seems same pragmatism as Thailand. Rather tame country really....has some beautiful spots....Cameron Highlands would be great if they learnt how to cook.

Used to think about going to the Cameron Highlands in the hottest season but always too idle.
In the cool season here, locally we have a forecast of 37 for Christmas Day. Don't know what others expect.

Used to think about going to the Cameron Highlands in the hottest season but always too idle. The Cameron Highlands have changed dramatically over the last 20 years. They've become overdeveloped, dirty and unattractive. I for one won't be going back again. |

Not a lot of money either. |

Stayed at the old Youth Hostel there in the 70s. Hitching into town a Saracen stopped and offered me a lift most of the way into town. Hopped in the back and then found myself on an all day patrol with the guys hopping out periodicly and checking the area for Communist bombs or h\hiding places. That was before they ruined it with the dam.
