Yes they seem to be taking it very seriously and can see many problems for themselves. Do France and Germany not express concerns of any sort? Do they think the UK will subsidise all their problems?

The EU27 is aware of problems caused by the brexit and tries to control, minimise them. The EU27 didn't ask for it but tries to cope as best as its able to.
BTW it would seem that recently its more often suggested not to pay the 39 billion Euro to 'Brussels'. Of course the fact that that money is just the sum of former obligations freely accepted is ignored. Mind you, to start looking for great new trade deals by reneging of former obligations seems a somewhat strange approach for instilling confidence.
