Thank you for that smirk. I was dealing with two lefties, one who I suspect had Irish Republican tendencies and both bristled at any unsympathetic comment about an oppressed minority.
Drive by shootings of unarmed old ladies and old men are regarded by them as a natural and understandable reaction from a people who unwillingly became part of another country 200 years ago. (I think that was the figure quoted).
