Wankers. Presumably no connection to the inclusive and multicultural religion of peace.

Not sure who, but I assume it wasn't any of the quality tourists Thailand is looking for.

Wasn't this Hambali chappy an earlier ''quality tourist'' so loved by Thailand until the truth came out? Hardly. He was captured in a run down one bedroom apartment near the Grand Hotel in Ayutthaya. Not quality. It's also believed he wasn't doing his 90 day reporting, or he'd have been captured a lot sooner.

Debating with some bozo on TVF about the problems in the South, he has thrown something at me that I find difficult to believe but do not know where to find the figures.
He says that many of the victims of muslim terrorism are muslims. I think his figure was 40% but just guessing.
Where do I look to find the figures for all insurgency related deaths and breakdowns by religion/civilian/army etc.? Anyone able to advise?

Replying to reply of #7 on Muslim fatalities in the south;
The information is neither collected nor published. Overall casualty numbers are suppressed for obvious reasons. In fairness, no one gathers fatality data based upon religion anyway. They don't collect that info following a tourist bus crash either.
Because it is TVF, someone most likely has been easily confused with other fatality conclusions in regions subject to Islamic terror campaigns. For example, when someone bombs a Shia mosque in Iraq or Pakistan, there is a strong likelihood that all fatalities will be muslim. This led to the conclusion that the majority of deaths due to bombs were muslim. The person claiming a majority of fatalities are muslim in Thailand has assumed that the demographics of the fatalities are identical, and as you have stated, they are not.
There have been many deaths of non muslims, including "lapsed" muslims in the South and it is unfair to label lapsed muslims as practicing. Also, keep in mind that a significant number of deaths attributed to "terrorism" have in fact been standard drug dealer/criminal settling of accounts, domestic quarrels and family feuds. As we all know, just about every home in the rural areas has a firearm and easy access to firearms leads to higher fatalities when there is a fight.
To sum up; Death is an equal opportunity visitor in Thailand. Everyone is invited to play, whether they wish to or not.
