Did you ever noticed that most Internet connected devices have no real 'fixed' IP address?
Just looked at my gmail and it can list the IP addresses it 'thinks' you've used in the last so many accesses.
Now in the office the IP address on my Ethernet link is an automatically allocated class A address (10.....) with 22 bit mask. Gmail though tells me I'm on 1N.211.153.MMM (N != 0). Also listed lots of 223.24 numbers. That's when I'm using my USB hotspot with truemoveH SIM. Local IP 192.168.8.100 and outside whatever True gives me.
Can be annoying as seemingly switching gmail sometimes wants to send me a one-time passphrase to my predefined backup 'access method' just to check it's really me. I'm using my mobile for that. Just copy the number I get as SMS and gmail is happy.
