"Health officials say that unseasonably wet and warm weather due to climate change has made the situation particularly bad this year, reporting a more than a 50 percent increase in infections compared to 2012." I don't really keep track of the weather but I wasn't aware we had unseasonable wet and hot weather the last twelve months. Actually I thought in 2012 we had more water not flowing away. Of course climate change is change over a longer period like decades or centuries and up and downs are normal. From wiki "The primary method of controlling A. aegypti is by eliminating its habitats.[33] This is done by getting rid of open sources of water, or if this is not possible, by adding insecticides or biological control agents to these areas.[33] Generalized spraying with organophosphate or pyrethroid insecticides, while sometimes done, is not thought to be effective.[20] Reducing open collections of water through environmental modification is the preferred method of control, given the concerns of negative health effects from insecticides and greater logistical difficulties with control agents.[33] People can prevent mosquito bites by wearing clothing that fully covers the skin, using mosquito netting while resting, and/or the application of insect repellent (DEET being the most effective).[37] While these measures can be an effective means of reducing an individual's risk of exposure, they do little in terms of mitigating the frequency of outbreaks, which appear to be on the rise in some areas, probably due to urbanization increasing the habitat of A. aegypti.[7] The range of the disease also appears to be expanding possibly due to climate change.[7]" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dengue_fever

"The primary method of controlling A. aegypti is by eliminating its habitats. Egyptian mosquitoes. I guess that makes them Moslem. Are Moslems really the source of all suffering in the world? It sometimes seems like it. As for eliminating Moslem habitats, the United States is doing a pretty good job in some countries making them uninhabitable.

This mosquito was almost wiped out when the UN were combatting Yellow Fever. In a large part, funded by the USA. They withdrew funding because Yellow Fever wasn't a major issue in America at the time. The mosquito is particularly dangerous, because the females feed up to 4 times before laying eggs.
