This will go down well with all far-right fringes who love Trump. "Pompeo says ‘it’s possible’ Trump was sent to save the Jewish people ‘As a Christian, I certainly believe that’s possible,’ US secretary of state says. U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Thursday said "it's possible" that President Donald Trump was sent to protect the Jewish people from the threat of Iran. During an interview with Christian Broadcasting Network, Middle East Bureau Chief Chris Mitchell noted how it was the celebration of Purim, which is based off the story of Queen Esther, who in the Hebrew bible was married to a Persian king and saved thousands of Jews from being killed. “Could it be that President Trump right now has been sort of raised for such a time as this, just like Queen Esther, to help save the Jewish people from the Iranian menace?” Mitchell asked Pompeo. “As a Christian, I certainly believe that’s possible,” Pompeo, who was visiting Israel, replied." www.politico.eu/article/donald-trump-queen-esther-mike-pompeo-says-its-possible-sent-to-save-the-jewish-people/

“As a Christian, I certainly believe that’s possible,” Pompeo, who was visiting Israel, replied." As a Christian he's prepared to believe any old bunkum. A man walking on water? Resurrecting the dead? Turning wine into water? Cursing fig trees? Coming back to life after Crucifixion? (Should that be cruci-fiction?) Apparently he even believes in an omnipotent but invisible sky wizard who's so insecure he needs to be worshipped by mere humans. The man is deluded big time.

The point there was that he was not a mere, mortal man but "Emmanuel" (God with us). When the mere, mortal man - Peter - tried it he fell in and had to be rescued from drowning. As I understand it.

If he existed, and the historical information is pretty inconclusive, he most certainly wasn't anything other than a mere mortal man. (On his historicity: skeptoid.com/episodes/4666 ) Walking on water is frankly no more believable than Mohammed's magic flying donkey Buraq.

Was the donkey a deity or a mere animal?
