Still do my usual 90 days online. Mrs doesn't do anything for that.
How did they pick it up BTW? Just did my annual visa extension. They asked to see my 90 days slip, but no mention of Mrs.Smile reporting anything ???

Your post above is not recent so I'm not sure you have your answer, in case you don't: The TM30 law has been on the books for lots of years but like many others it wasn't enforced, a year or more ago some bright spark decided it would be good to enforce the rule once again which like everything else in Thailand is done selectively and subjectively. The rule requires all foreigners to report their whereabouts every time they change their address, even for one night, the responsibility for this falls on the house owner but since that person is nearly always a Thai person, the fine falls on the foreigner. So, you register for where you live and you get a stamped slip, that remains valid until you go somewhere and stay overnight, a hotel perhaps. In that case the hotel will report your presence so you don't have to do anything, until you return home that is! When you do go home you have to report that your address has changed yet again, from the hotel, back to the place where you were/are now staying once again. Ditto if you go overseas, when you return you have to report your whereabouts, even if you've only returned to the home you left before you went overseas. Different regions apply the TM30 rules differently, in Chiang Mai where I live it's fully enforced and the penalty for not reporting is about 2k Baht as I recall. The fact that you have visa X doesn't matter and that you report every 90 days is irrelevant. Mosha: I'm pretty certain as a foreigner in Thailand I would not sign that or any other petition, who in their right mind would! I'm positive there is a valid reason why the TM30 rule exists, the authorities don't just make up these rules arbitrarily for goodness sake, it's just that we foreigners are mostly thick and don't understand about these things.
