It would seem even Pres. Trump twittered some advise yesterday on 'flying water tankers dropping load of water' and of course a "Must act quickly'.
A somewhat annoyed Security Civile France replied in English that hundreds of firemen of Paris were doing whatever possible to bring the fire under control and that water bombing could lead to the complete collapse of the structure. I guess water bombing could also have led to explosive steam pressure and endanger firefighters lives.

I think the building is a French National Monument, not owned by the Vatican. Apart from that I agree that having a politician say 'WE should" is a bit of BS. Contribute if you feel like it. In this case you might consider if you could donate to some needy in your own neighborhood. Less overhead, more likely the complete amount will reach those intended. |

Really who cares, it is in France and it is owned by the French.
