I much prefer financial markets to property, as that's where my expertise is. So not something that appeals to me much either. Though is interesting to see what yields are.

For someone who understands nothing about financial markets, but does understand property it could be worthwhile, given cash rates are so low.

I consider a "good investment" wherever I can place our money where we cannot get at it. We get the old "loan" requests from time to time, and the truth is I am barely hanging on for dear life myself, so the condo facade really helps. I figure even if a condo crashes and burns, well at least it had a chance to do something good and I probably got to live in it a while
