Some of these look like they might be worth a bit more research. Particularly the alternative/non-mainstream ones, if looking for income and to diversify
Need to be careful with some of these "sectors" though as there are sometimes only a handful of choices/ small number in the sector for ITs ====================================================
The 15 investment trust sectors yielding more than 3%
There were 15 investment trust sectors where the average yield was 3 per cent or more at the end of May 2019, according to research by the Association of Investment Companies (AIC), while two peer groups had a yield in excess of 8 per cent.

No, don't know why 3i is specifically included.
3i doesn't subscribe to Trustnet and info about it is on there is limited. Then again plenty of others don't subscribe either.
3i has a couple of things about it compared to the others in the sector, which can distort sector analysis:
= Trades at a 27.9% premium whereas most others have a significant discount.
= Large fund of over GBP 10 billion
Don't see why those would excelude it from this analysis though. They included odd-balls like British & American in other sectors

Any idea why 3i is excluded from the figures? Aye Fletch will love that, , trading at a whopping premium. I got involved with them years ago, by accident, brother in law was setting up his own company, no wonder their returns are so impressive, his own words, "would have got a better deal from a Bombay money lender"
