Watching this Australian feature, mainly about airport imm/customs/security for a few weeks and cannot understand how the swab tester gives so many false positives for drugs. Gets it wrong much more often than right.
Anybody or anything else making so many mistakes would normally get binned pretty sharpish.

Whenever I get swabbed for explosives the machine goes crazy. It picks up nitrates and I just tell them I've been on the farm.
I don't think the drug swab can be used as evidence but more a tool to harass you further.
