This morning passing the Satorn-Chongnonsri platform I got a leaflet introducing e-vehicles: e-steps, e-bikes, e-scooters. Wonder how that works in traffic chaos Bangkok. As pedestrian I'm already in danger from noisy traffic vehicles, but e-somethings can really sneak up to one.
With max speeds from 25 to 60 kph, distance 25 to 60 km, full charge 3 to 5 hours, Lithium batteries (the type which alights your life).
More info on their FB page 'evbikethailand'.

I had an ebike in my last apartment in California, which was about a mile from the beach. The thing almost made it feel as if we had beachfront property. I was down there in about 3 and a half minutes. Even cars can't access the area so it was amazing.

Introducing e-vehicles: e-steps, e-bikes, e-scooters...
Just the items for those who work here in Thailand or those, ''professionals'' who have worked here for many a year and yet still can't afford proper transport, ie motorcycle, pickup or a car of their own or are too parsimonious to buy one.

Looking at the folder which people handed out the e-thingy is aimed at the young upward mobile Thai. Of course anyone buying such gadgets which require both hands on the steer to stay upright will discover typing on your mobile at the same time is a wee bit difficult.
