This clip (I am reliably told) is the model frame for TAT regarding theier welcome for both smokie 36 and rott concerning their impending return to Thailand. Rozzers eh, just shows you. Couldn't catch Jimmy Greaves. (no disrespect to him either).

I see that new vaccine technology is being trialed in the UK, by northerners no less: "The world’s first variant-proof booster vaccine, which could prevent the need for jabs to be tweaked regularly to combat new strains, is being trialled in Manchester. Retired couple Andrew Clarke, 63, and his wife Helen, 64, from Bolton, became the first to receive the mRNA vaccine on Monday". The decision to use northern guinea pigs for the trials was an easy choice, hardy, robust and people of great character and stamina. Southerners were considered but the idea was quickly dropped, for obvious reasons. Yorkshire men were the first natural choice but we decided to give the honor to our brothers on the other side of the Pennines (we're brave but we're not stupid). www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/09/20/first-variant-proof-covid-vaccine-starts-trials-manchester/

Eldest Thai sister in law has to be a special kind of stupid. 3 Covid 19 tests since March. So far she's 3 up, but she should really think what she's doing.

Next Saturday I'm on-call. If there's a problem (which of course there won't be) I might be called to the site. With people of many vendors around and (maybe) needing to go into the 'inner sanctum' of Computers I'm to have a COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test, arranged by the customer. Well, keeps me busy. Of course, I hope for a clear negative. Some wishy-washy "unclear, let's try again" I wouldn't like at all. So I had the check where they put a long stick up your nose. I hope it was the first and last time. It doesn't feel good someone fumbling up your nose.

What an amazing degree of success this shows...
200,000-400,000 teachers have yet to be vaccinated:
OBEC Home» In-Focus»200,000-400,000 Teachers Have Yet To Be Vaccinated:
OBEC About 70 per cent of teachers nationwide have already been vaccinated against Covid-19, while 200,000-400,000 have yet to be inoculated, the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) revealed on Wednesday.
The office estimates that all teachers could be inoculated before schools reopen on November 1,” said OBEC secretary-general Amphon Phinasa.
“Not all students will be forced to go to school on the reopening date. If parents are concerned about their children’s safety they can still continue the learn-from-home measure,” he said.
“Furthermore, schools in red zone provinces may consider opening every other day to reduce the risk of the virus spreading, as well as consider implementing other disease control measures as suggested by the provincial public health office,” Amphon said.
He added that the Public Health Ministry has informed OBEC that more Pfizer vaccines, which have been approved for children aged over 12 in Thailand, will arrive in late September and that it aims to vaccinate students in risky areas from October 4.

No idea what was planned for teachers, but the Thai government has a goal of 70% vaccination. "The reopening plan for five provinces might be delayed by a month to Nov 1 as each province's vaccination rate still falls short of 70% coverage, leading Chiang Mai to put its faith in the domestic market instead." Also, May 2021 "Teachers and social workers must be prioritized for vaccination against COVID-19 UNICEF welcomes the Royal Thai Government’s decision to vaccinate 600,000 teachers nationwide before schools reopen" www.unicef.org/thailand/stories/teachers-and-social-workers-must-be-prioritized-vaccination-against-covid-19No info if 70% of Thai teachers equals 600,000

Of course, where there's a will there's a way

Just got the testresult mailed. A clear negative. Does that make me the only one here who is officially COVID-19 free? Reminds me of the yearly check on tertiary syphilis. Makes me one of a few here who got official confirmation not to be suffering from such strange disease.

Probably there's something in the Teutonic genes. But I'm going to have a cocoa and read my book.

Some have it that if it wasn't for some adventurous cousins going galivanting on the Foggy Isles in the West, you lot might very well speak some funny romance language, like French.

I hope you recover soon and get back to your normal self. It's a little known fact but more people have died whilst sitting in a chair, reading a book and drinking cocoa than any other single cause, trust me, it's a fact.

Most people either die in bed or out of bed.
