In 1976 the NOS and the BBC co-operated for a movie about the Scottish Military Doctor Graeme Warrack who was captured near Arnhem having stayed with the wounded. Later he escaped. The movie is back on line. In English with Dutch subtitles, 1h22m long. Click on the embedded movie on this page:

My eldest niece was in Basingstoke Hospital A&E with on of her daughters. There was an older gentleman waiting. He wore a Para beret. She got talking to him. He took part in Market Garden, and was one three out of over 100 in his drop who made it down alive.
