Better make that last can last My wine stock marker is at 'Adequate' I must get that up to 'Comfortable' today and possibly 'Yah Dancer' by Friday.

No idea, as at my local 7-11 the complete rack is empty and there isn't even a single bottle of H 0.0

"Emergency decree extended The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) on Monday decided to extend the Emergency Decree for another month after it expires on April 30. CCSA spokesman Taweesilp Visanuyothin said on Monday the decree will be extended to the end of May. The reason is concern about the return of the virus, with the centre still battling to stop it spreading any further. The decision means the night curfew from 10pm-4am will continue, no social gatherings allowed and only limited inter-provincial travel, among other restrictions, Dr Taweesilp said." www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/1908545/emergency-decree-extended

No alcohol until the end of the month for Bangkokians But which month? The junta hasn't explicitly said that the ban extends beyond the end of this month, though I'm guessing they're revelling in their autocratic powers so arbitrarily employed, and it will in fact be extended.

Really for many people it's a positive move to abstain or dry out regarding alcohol.
Certainly those who are alcoholics feel the pain much as less socially accepted drug addict's feels when going ,''cold turkey.''
Perhaps of course if one was to be borderline alcoholic, IE, alcohol dependent. The fear of a prolonged ban would and it does seem to give rise to concerns for some people..

Really for many people it's a positive move to abstain or dry out regarding alcohol But for the vast majority of people it's an utterly pointless move. There are already regulations to prevent social gatherings. And one doesn't have to be a raging alcohol to enjoy an occasional glass of wine with dinner - though in these miserable times a couple of glasses would better help to cheer, to alleviate the stress of the situation, without leading to millions falling under the evil spell of the demon drink.

State of Emergency extended to May 31st.
To balance things out, alcohol sales will be allowed, but tobacco sales will cease. (I added that)

And those regulations were being flaunted by people who couldn't go without a social drink. The vast majority in Thailand follow the regulations but from news reports it was obvious that there were people who just wanted to party. These selfish w*nkers were jeopardizing all of the efforts that the rest of the population putting in to stopping the spread of the virus. The Thai government were right to ban the sale of alcohol. Unless one is dependent on alcohol, during these extraordinary times it would do no harm to abstain without complaining. Because of this virus there are many Thais now living on the breadline, not sure where their next meal will come from, so to bitch about not being able to enjoy a nice glass of wine with your evening meal seems fair, eh?

So the government needs to start enforcing the existing regulations, before introducing oppressive new ones affecting law-abiding people. How can it be right to punish the vast majority when only a few were partying?Unless one is dependent on alcohol, during these extraordinary times it would do no harm to abstain without complaining. In these extraordinary times it would be nice to relax with a little alcohol. Depriving people of that relaxation is harmful. As for complaining, it's good that the oppressive actions of a government of dubious legitimacy are at least questioned openly.
Because of this virus there are many Thais now living on the breadline, not sure where their next meal will come from, Those who need it are getting 5,000 baht/month from the government - equivalent to around half the legal minimum wage for doing nothing. so to bitch about not being able to enjoy a nice glass of wine with your evening meal seems fair, eh?

How difficult is that for you to understand? The vast majority in Thailand follow the regulations but from news reports it was obvious that there were people who just wanted to party. These selfish w*nkers were jeopardizing all of the efforts that the rest of the population putting in to stopping the spread of the virus. The Thai government were right to ban the sale of alcohol. How can it be right to punish the vast majority when only a few were partying?Punish, to go without a drink for a few weeks?
Glad to see that your priorities cover your personal needs rather than what is really needed.
Unless one is dependent on alcohol, during these extraordinary times it would do no harm to abstain without complaining. In these extraordinary times it would be nice to relax with a little alcohol. Depriving people of that relaxation is harmful. As for complaining, it's good that the oppressive actions of a government of dubious legitimacy are at least questioned openly. What would you rather have AYG, no governmental regulations, like in Sweden where the virus is out of control.
The oppressive actions of a government (as you call it) is working and the virus thanks to their action is fairly well under control.
I don't agree with everything that the Thai government do but they have done a good job in containing the virus and in this case deserve support.Because of this virus there are many Thais now living on the breadline, not sure where their next meal will come from, Those who need it are getting 5,000 baht/month from the government - equivalent to around half the legal minimum wage for doing nothing. so to bitch about not being able to enjoy a nice glass of wine with your evening meal seems fair, eh? And this is not as easy as it sounds.
Even in the Western countries (such as USA & UK) there have been problems getting the emergency payments to the people.
Last week I read about a Thai single mother of two who had recently lost her job and could no longer afford milk for her babies.
She took her own life.
Maybe if she had a few glasses of Matthiasson Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 she would have felt less deprived.
It's pretty sad that other peoples welfare is less important than your needs as a champagne socialist.
