"Curfew starts today All travel to nation halted for 2 weeks The government has imposed a curfew, banning all people nationwide from leaving their homes from 10pm to 4am starting tonight, in its latest move to contain the spread of coronavirus. Appearing on the TV pool Thursday evening, Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha announced the curfew, effective until further notice. The prime minister called for calm and asked the public not to stock up on food as they will still be allowed to go out during the daytime, though they will be required to observe social distancing." www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/1891910/curfew-starts-today

... and if ever there was a good reason not to go home too late "Public transport to stop at 9.30pm Public transport services in the Bangkok area have been ordered to end their daily operations by 9.30pm from Friday, when the nationwide night curfew starts. Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob said public transport services would be closed from 9.30pm to 4am in accordance with the prime minister's declaration of a nationwide curfew from 10pm to 4am to curb the spread of coronavirus disease." www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/1892440/public-transport-to-stop-at-9-30pm

The prime minister called for calm and asked the public not to stock up on food as they will still be allowed to go out during the daytime And yet, at my local MaxValu this morning, there were no tinned tomatoes, Italian pasta, parmesan, Japanese curry roux, fresh eggs, beef, tinned tuna. However, the freezers had vast quantities of frozen silk worms. Should I be worried?

Yes, if you shop at Max Valu you should be worried, your shares have obviously taken a bigger hit than mine, signed a big c shopper. Is this what I am reduced to, the indignity of it all.

This morning I notice that at my local 7-11 one of the staff was standing outside with a IR-gun to measure forehead front of head temperatures of possible customers.
I'm still between 34.0 and 34.9. In the morning arriving at customer site I also have a quick look. It become an automatism like checking your weight in the morning.

"Coronavirus curfew term likely to be extended The six-hour curfew, which started on Friday night, is likely to be extended, even if it succeeds in stopping gatherings and lowering the coronavirus transmission rate. "The period may increase to 8, 10, 12 or even more hours," Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam said on Friday to clarify doubts over the night-time curfew intended to halt the spread of coronavirus." www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/1892725/coronavirus-curfew-term-likely-to-be-extended

I'm still between 34.0 and 34.9. Have you checked you still have a pulse? With that range there's a distinct possibility that you're dead. Do check for signs of lividity too.

Blood pressure between 80 and 187 depending on number of beers drunk and people I bit. Temperature depending on activities and when/where measurements are made. If need be I can find character witnesses who can confirm I'm not yet one of the living dead. Cheers, uncle Dracs

You will need to warm up a little for the non-Songkran quiz, which will be running over the entire not-Songkran period.
Therefore, warm up question (open to all except the quiz masters). In what year was the firstly sending off in a football (soccer for the uneducated) world cup final. Bonus warm up points for the team, player and details of the second sending off.
Remember, no Googling and no cryptic answers.

One wintery night in Germany, camping in two-halfs-fit-together tents, I really had to pee. So I stepped outside only to discover that walking barefeet on pine needles with temperatures of -15C or lower is not to be recommended. Worse was the bread in the morning. Some fools had left it laying outside overnight.

One is led to wonder how the curfew may ''cum'' to affect ''short time'' rates.
