I'm pleased to say we are starting to see rain, short bursts dropping around 16mm in a few minutes. Northern Thailand was needing the rain to clear the air and to suppress the forest fires, so its very welcome. We've also seen a few rivers and reservoirs run dry.
I wonder what the summer will bring. As devastating as floods can be, I feel it would be better to have a higher than normal rainfall this year. I read that the water table is under pressure in a few places. Lets see what happens..............

Been a lot of grumbling thunder around us here in Samut Prakarn.
Rain has not been seen apart from a 3 minute spatter which was about enough to dampen the car windscreen. Wipers on, aided and abetted by screen washers to ensure a clear windscreen area.

Here in the Dusit area it rained for about two hours starting around 12:30. Not a real tropical downpour but a nice thunderstorm with enough water to get drenched in minutes tapering of after an hour and drizzling continuing.
Still wet outside.

I was in Naam Daeng yesterday and I saw one of the locals walking around with a sweatshirt on with one word printed on the front 'Macclesfield'. Who the freck is selling Macclesfield sweatshirts in Thailand and why?

Rained here this morning and I was in jeopardy of getting moist as I exited the Tiger-mobile but alas I was saved. Thank heavens for Security guards and their umbrellas.

We're now seeing rain every day, my Koi Carp pond is full, the run off is starting to fill my reserve pond. Both ponds are 30 metres x 10 metres. I reckon the increase in water volume to be around 450 cubic metres. My reserve pond can probably handle another 300 cubic metres, I'm not sure where the water will run off to when that's full.

Recent reports suggest rain during rainy season. Must be FAKE news. Not a drop yesterday and doesn't look like it today either. I demand to see the reports. Surely after examination it will become clear that their input data is suspect, and/or their assumptions, and/or their logic and/or their conclusions. Buy me some batteries for my Crystal Ball and I'll give you a more reliable forecast.

Perhaps a Macc lad lost heart to a person from there and gave the shirt as a lasting memento.
