Received following this morning
"The Cabinet has approved Monday, July 27 as a substitute Songkran holiday, which had been cancelled earlier this year due to the pandemic.
Decision on compensation for the other two days of the three-day festival is still pending."
With July 28th already a holiday (King's birthday) we'll have a four day holiday period. That's assuming nothing changes.
And of course we hope that four day break won't lead to renewed cases.

I wonder if they will dare stop the sale of booze on these public holidays. Will they dare..... They won't even think of it. Booze sales are only banned on selected Buddhist festival days. Which reminds me I have Monday 6th as substitute holiday for Sunday 5th which is Asarnha Bucha day. |
