^^^ Does anyone know whether this is a real place, or simply a Photoshop job? It's real enough and is located in Columbia. El Peñón de Guatapé comprises 740 steps and leads to a place of worship for native indians. Disclaimer - google was not used in the making of this answer. I went to some place in the North of Thailand that looked remarkedly similar. The misses and her friends started heading up to the top. I took one look at the handrails banged together with two inch nails and decided to stay at the bottom feeding the fish with the monks. I'll try to find the name of it.

Yes I usually walk up there with my stick whacking any kids I see ambling along too slowly. Yes the 2-5pm thing makes me cranky. So what?

I do believe rgs that those signs may have been put up by the Bil unless it's the block just past the family mart before the international school and opposite were the old girl sells Som tam outside the sports centre. He's just acquired/bought and few flats and is renting them out. Know what you mean about the spoilt little brats. Used to get a lot of them rolling up late afternoon early evening wanting food either from the school or from the 5 aside/sports centre. A lot of them Japanese, Chinese or Korean, all taught absolutely no manners or told to think of the local community as lower than them. Mrs TF has had to plead on more than one occasion to adhere from teaching them a lesson or two. Worse thing is a lot of them are starting to settle down and live in the 8 or so private housing estates 1/2 a kilometre up the road.

Too be honest TF,as much as the kids are snotty nosed little bastids, the mothers are worse, turning left into your soi, cars backed up about 20 in line waiting to turn left, here comes khun ying, she doesnt have time to wait in line, so she blocks off a lane of traffic and tries to cut in, a three lane road now reduced to one lane because of her effin arrogance. Even worse, the idiots that dont know, you can turn left before exiting the soi to go left, no need to go all the way to the mouth of the soi and turn left to the Londoner. One of the beemer brigade effed me off,she was on the wrong side of the road, lights flashing etc, I just put the car into park, and put the handbrake on, got out the car and smoked a cigarette. Sgt Somchai appeared and gave her a right mouthful, he probably wasted his breath, dont think she understood, get out of my you Honda driving peasant seemed to be her attitude. PS, I was actually heading to the soulless estate you mention, first one on the left, passorn village, big shout out to the little coffee shop on the right hand side, the acorn ? excellent coffee, excellent service and none of the attitude that can be found elsewhere.

Walk to the end of the soi. My wife's idiot Son In Law can't go more than 20 meters without getting on their Honda.

The thing that gets my goat is when people are turning into the soi from Pattanakarn rd. Having driven large vehicles in most of my working life i am used to the maneuver of basically steering outwardly before turning in, to give the wheelbase enough turning circle around the curb/corner bend. Most i see either end up mounting the curb or over shooting onto the wrong side of the road and sod any poor sole coming down the other way.

Captured on my dashcam the other week, looks very much like herr smokes behind the wheel.

After all that stress, tourists get another month amnesty. Deadline was 26/09 and amnesty from 30/09? Does that mean automatic penalty of a few thousand baht? I mean the 'amnesty' is just a postponement of reporting.
