A one minute walk to the agent's office to leave my passport and the same tomorrow to collect it. Of course I have to come to Pattaya to do it. No charge for this service before anyone asks.

Ah, but the fun you miss mixing with riffraff. The 'innocents' who really didn't know whatever and now have to pay. Some 'digital yuppies' with the right attire (all famous brands on shirt, pants, backpack, shoes, at least I guess that's supposed). Plus of course getting out of your usual environment. Makes you appreciate it even more on returning.

^^^ Went to Mueang Thong Thani for the first (and I hope last) time yesterday. What on earth were the authorities thinking of when they decided this was a good place for tourists to extend their visas? Dreadful location, miles from civilisation. Hopelessly inaccessible for the disabled. The steep flight of steps at the front festooned with street dogs. Miserable interior. Unclear signs.
Frankly, with pathetic efforts like this, Thailand doesn't deserve any tourists, let alone quality ones.
As for my business, it took four hours round trip to get there, and the actual business was completed in (quite literally) two minutes. Stupid waste of my time. Such a pity that Immigration hasn't discovered the Internet yet.

Online registration. bigmango.boards.net/post/193026BTW Tourists are normally 'short time' visitors which you could translate into 'less than 90 days'. Of course also 'we, the workers' on non-B and others on non-O make the same trek and really enjoy it. Even rgs

^^^ Not doing 90 day reporting. Getting a residence certificate so I can register my new car. No alternative to turning up in person. Couldn't even get an agent to do it for me.
As for tourists being short time, that would be the case in a normal world, but many got trapped by the virus, and COVID extensions are done there. There are also tourists who enter on 30 days visa-exempt, fall in love with a bar girl the beautiful temples and beaches and want to extend their stay.
BTW, not sure why anyone on a non-immigrant visa would need to go to Immigration to do 90 day reporting. After moving to Bangkok I've always been able to do it by post or (more recently) online. (My previous province was "turn up in person" only, but the queues were pretty short.)

I've only been on the groundfloor in the corner for non-B visa renewal where some go for non-O. Never been on the 2nd floor till now. I expect some directions after your visit rgs. No need to make a utube clip though unless you really feel like it

(My previous province was "turn up in person" only, but the queues were pretty short.) Two years ago I switched companies. Visa was no longer made at One-Stop-Service-Center Chamchuri but in CW. That's a different region. I tried online reporting twice, both times rejected with "go to Chamchuri". I did once and was told "visa made in CW, 90-reporting CW". After that I never tried online reporting again. I was a bit late this time, but maybe I'll try again end of June.

^^^ You have to make one report, either in person or by mail, before the online system will accept your reports.

Chin up old chap I thought you were made of sterner stuff, sorts the men out from the boys, character building, think of it more like a team bonding exercise wtith your fellow mango members like myself and rubes. Bloody heck where were you coming from that took two hours, or did the taxi driver get lost? Cant say I blame him, I drove round for half an hour before I could find the way into the place, was almost tempted to park up and walk.

You could have got the same paperwork from Brit House, wherever that may be located these days, those in the know tell me it above some Indian tailors shop in darkest Suk, they would have charged your the princely sum of about 2000 baht, if you were actually able to make an online appointment. Sounds to me as if you got a result in the car park.

Groundfloor thats where all the banks etc are, at CW. Get a proper job and one day you may make it to the hallowed halls of the second floor, you wont see any utube types up there, 55555.

All very edifying but I've just got in, scranned a kebab and I'm still starving. Not even a beng beng in the fridge, I know this without looking. Shhirrrt, but this will help my waistline apparently. Firk it tomorrow is another day. Hang on there's some bananas and two slices of bread. No, sleep it is.
