Time for me to move from excel... Looking for something that will show what each fund/IT I have is invested in (sector, country) and then combine to show the overall portfolio make-up. I've tried sharesight (free version) but that doesn't seem to slice and dice a portfolio. Any recommendations pls. Thanks.

For tracking P&L for investment trusts I use a Google Docs spreadsheet since that lets me get prices automatically (and historic prices for any given day). For slice & dice, I don't think you're going to find anything for free. My UK broker gives me free access to Morningstar Porfolio X-Ray, but that's only for my unit trusts I hold with them. (I hold all my investment trusts offshore.) The full version of the Morningstar tool probably does what you want, but it costs GBP 159/year. However, you can get a two week free trial to see if it's worth it for you. You do get other additional features with your subscription. www.morningstar.co.uk/uk/premium/overview?referid=U0024

Where is the spreadsheet pulling the prices from ? Assume you create links in the sheet, looking up using date value ? Would like to try this.
