My 10 year old got this for his bass guitar homework. I suggest you seek a new teecha for your lad, get him to listen to this. His teacher is the one with the beard. They do every genre. |

Good lad, I am a great believer in keeping it simple, stick to that Bo Diddley beat, what was it Lou Reed said, anything more than three chords is venturing off into jazz territory, cant be doing with fretboard wankers. |

Good lad, I am a great believer in keeping it simple, stick to that Bo Diddley beat, what was it Lou Reed said, anything more than three chords is venturing off into jazz territory, cant be doing with fretboard wankers. 3 power chords with the distortion pedal turned up was great for impressing the drunken mates at the Wagga Wagga pub on a Friday night in 1985 doing a couple of ACDC numbers. These days just to get through your first audition they want to see slides and hammer ons through 6 legurto G major scales using a variety of string techniques. A very well known rock musician pulled my young bloke aside and told him you never make money playing other people's songs. Learn to read and write music. |
