Good memories eating food a along the road when you turn right off Phattanakan rd, just before Khlong Tan district police station going towards Ramkhamhaeng. Giving you a like, not for the music, but because I know exactly where you are talking about. You hang a right at the traffic lights, on your rh side was a massive goldfish bowl, after turning right, there was a strip of bars and restaurants on both sides, before you go under the tunnel to hit ram soi 26 or 24 where the coke factory is. Spent many great evenings there, saw Loso way back when they were first starting, playing in thai style bars and restaurants, tickets were something daft like 200 baht, or for a hiso like me, 700 baht, that got me a vip table and a bottle of whisky. Mrs and I could go and stuff our faces on seafood, large beers were something daft like 40 baht, still have change left out of twenty quid for a night out. Dont know if you ever made it out Lat Prao way, right beside Big C at chok chai was another great thai nightclub. Remember the first time I saw that dude, i thought to my self, he has been watching too many led zep dvds, he copied jimmy page. |
