The skies seem so wide and open and looking at the stars makes you think about other galaxies and life far away. I read somewhere that the Incas thought the stars were aliens. There are so many astonishing ruins and landscapes in South America that lend themselves to thinking about extraterrestrial beings. But it was a holiday to Recife [in north-eastern Brazil] that ended up changing my life."
