Aisle 6 next to the Ruby Slippers or you can order them from www.noplacelikehome.kansas.com. They also have a special at the minute, with each scarecrow you purchase you get a free lion and a tin watering can. |

I had already purchased 4ft Scarecrow Twin Pack Deter birds and Pests From Your Garden and Lawn from Amazon, and they are now doing the Scarecrow Hop in the back garden. I wanted a standalone specimen for the front too. It has been outside for a month now, in all weathers, and shows no signs of wear and tear. Apart from a left foot that looks like it's been mangled in a combine harvester. More on that later. It is a lovely little character, although mine seems to be crippled by an almost overwhelming form of shyness. It doesn't matter which way round I twist him, he invariably ends up facing the other way. My next door neighbour is getting a marvellous view of his rather cheeky little face, and he's even commented to me on how fabulous my little friend is. I just wonder what the scarecrow has got against me, that's all. |
