Despite what you may read or watch elsewhere, stories of Pattayas demise are not true, Tree Town is rocking, standing room only, no plastic cups, beer bottles on full display on the tables, a great nights entertainment.

Unless they've started again the place with the music was raided by the police the other week. Yes it is busy and lively showing that there are people here, but also a majority of places still closed. It always surprised me right through the lockdown etc how many people were still here.

^^^ yes the music place, a great night out, hassle free service, not pestered for lady drinks, no bar fines, the prices are just regular thai style place prices, the mongers drinking 60 baht large changs in a shantytown bar might not like it, where else can you have a great night out, have ten beers give a 100 baht tip ( that isnt laughed at and farang kee niaw muttered under the breath) all for 1000 baht.
Brilliant place, will be back again next month.
FYI, walked back via soi LK, the place was in darkness, might be time for owners to change their business model.
Back to Bkk tomorrow.

Well to be fair LK Metro is mainly go-gos which are closed by law thus it is dark. Buk I was in Buakhao by Treetown on Tuesday and had the same experience, it's all going off there but a few minutes away nothing. Horrible for people who own bars in other places.

This internationally renowned, family-friendly resort is today suffering from rain, as is most of the world except for the parts of Africa that are suffering from drought. And the bits of Russia that have a war.
Place is functioning if not exactly thriving, hotels have a low occupancy rate so they say probably because there are now so many of them, and air bnb pinching their trade. Plenty of women in Soi 6 as I passed through yesterday but not many paying customers about, but probably got busy later.
Hey ho, time for a spot of breakfast.

I recommend the Diners Express in the Avenue complex its on the LH side as you enter Villa supermarket. I was in Pattaya in july/Aug and again in Aug/Sept my observations seem to be at odds from what the utube brigade post. Hitting the road this week will give Pattaya a miss off to Sattahip instead.
