NAV only: Best : IWDA up 22% (including USD/GBP fx) which is at 12% of my portfolio. Worst : BGCBBI at -3.8%
Overall I'm up 9% for the year.
Best decision - taking SMT down to under 10% of my holdings when it was at £15.09 Worst decision - not selling more of my THB holdings !

What is BGCBBI?
On the downside you've done pretty well. My worst performer on the same basis was Baillie Gifford Global Discovery B Inc, down 20.6% (ouch!). Thankfully it was a small holding (and is smaller now!) - a bit of a flutter, really. The only others in negative territory were HDIV (my only bond holding) -6.1% and JMG, -1.3%. In the case of HDIV the high level of income helped mitigate most of the loss.
On the plus side, CLDN, up 44.1% (a bit of a distortion because it fell badly on concerns about its private equity holdings in 2020, but has now recovered), Dodge & Cox Worldwide US Stock A GBP, up 33.5%, with a further four holdings returning more then 20%. This is out of 24 non-Thai holdings.
As for Thailand, I only have four holdings, and three (regular equity funds) were up nicely (in THB), 21.1%, 34.0%, 33.1%. The disappointment was a property fund, which up 0.4% (and didn't pay any dividends).
Not a vintage year, but in the face of a global pandemic, I mustn't grumble.

^^^ The lead manager of Edinburgh Worldwide IT, Douglas Brodie, is also lead manager on my worst performing fund, Baillie Gifford Global Discovery.

^^ maybe its time for Mr Brodie, to update his cv send his suit to the drycleaners and seek alternative employment elsewhere.

^^^ Actually, I don't completely blame Brodie. Baillie Gifford has a strong house style, and individual fund managers have very little choice in how they invest. I seem to recall that last year a fund manager rather publicly left the house, complaining that he was stifled by the restrictions and could produce better performance elsewhere. Can't remember his name.

And so it continues. Baillie Gifford Global Discovery down 9.0% in the first week of the year, and Edinburgh Worldwide down 9.9%.
