You're lucky to find anyone here on a Sunday, they're usually out selling wooden clothes pegs outside Siam Paragon.

Hey Seb, has Mongolia changed since 1989. I haven't been there since then, and you weren't born. I caught the train from China to Russia through Mongolia. Took a month or two from memory. I vaguely remember them changing the undercarriage at the border due to the different gauge.

Life is pretty livable here, not the same as BKK, but certainly easier than life in Mandalay in many regards. Friendly locals, plenty of good bars and restaurants and the surrounding countryside is stunning.

Seb, you wont reconise Rangsit if you come back this way, its a regular metropolis now, like new york city, Lam Luk Ha is booming new housing estates all over the place, almost a suburb of bkk.

No 90 day report, you get a residence card with gets you free healthcare among other things. Rangsit is kinda home for me, so I see myself returning at some stage for a look around. I think given the situation, another 2 year contract then moving back to Thailand is the best course of action. Hybrid and online teaching ain't for me and Mongolia has given up on it on got back to 100% in person.
