Just read a doom and gloom post on "another forum", speaking of an impending banking crisis in the EU.
They apparently have a banking system 3 times GDP.
So I thought I would come to the source of all wisdom and request clarification.
Is it right or shite.?
To be fair, apparently the rest of the world is not much (if any) better.

Can't find the post to which you refer. Perhaps you could give an exact quote for which we could search?
However, I suspect the calculation is along the lines of "take all the banks' assets and add to them the value of all the banks' liabilities", ignoring the fact that these actually offset each other. (I have 100 baht, I owe 90 baht, my overall situation is +10 baht, not +190 baht.)

It was part of a larger post and did not go into more detail than that which I have quoted.
I will look on AN/TVF and see if I can find it again.
No biggie, I just assumed it was something that was regularly bandied about and regularly debunked.

I somehow stumbled upon a strange "vlog" I think they call them about Pattaya.
It's not just the EU it's doom and gloom in Pattaya too. Inflation is raging in Gentleman's Clubs in Soi Pothole. Small beers 95, lady drinks 150, room I forget, ST whatever that is, 1500 to 2000.
But panic not. In nearby Soi Exite prices have not changed and in Club Exite ST I think is 1000. But don't quote me.
I am sure that as usual I am the last to know.

I apologise if I seem a bit excitable there but after a day of foreboding things turned out not too bad, so I am a touch lightheaded.
Everton unexpectedly if undeserved beat Chelsea and Rangers did not lose to the others. So things are technically up for grabs.
Sorry about all that but a nice cup of Ovaltine and a digestive will have me ready for bed.
BTW you firkers were chatty for a Sunday.
