So I was on Facebook today having a good discussion about shadows on the moon, the sun, reflection from planet Earth, flash guns, bla bla bla.
When someone (I'm assuming is an American in-breed from the bible belt) jumps in and says "The moon has it's own source of light. It's in the Bible. And I'm not even going to waste my time trying to explain it to you bunch of idiots. It's in Genesis chapter one of you want to go read about it for yourself" No argument from me. I ain't gonna go there. So I get home from work and ask the 11 year old, and he agreed with me. So I asked the misses who has never heard of the bible, or if she did she would probably think it's the name of a French racehorse. "The moon has it's own light. How can it reflect the sun from a couple of hundred miles away?"

Short discussion when someone starts dropping the Bible on you. "The Lord told me" sounds nice though, especially when used to justify certain actions. Straightjacket for this one please, next
