All of a sudden some African faery tales have sprung up it would seem. This one on a Nigerian King who committed suicide rather than bow for Queen Elizabeth in 1956. The description though seems a bit unbelievable and at times hilarious. "NIGERIAN KING, ATTAH AMEH OBONI, PREFERRED SUICIDE TO BOWING BEFORE QUEEN ELIZABETH II ... It was a taboo for Attah to remove his cap in the public, the entire hall where they were staying was occupied by bees from the cap of Attah Ameh Oboni which he removed in order to greet the Queen. The Queen of England as well as other rulers in the meeting ran helter-skelter except the friendly Oba of Benin who was asked by Attah Ameh to go out before he removed his cap. The hall became empty as some were stung by the bees and the meeting ended. ..." africaequity.net/nigerian-king-attah-ameh-oboni-preferred-suicide-to-bowing-before-queen-elizabeth-ii/

Without really spending time on it I did notice that all I saw was not from before 10th of September 2022.
As I wrote the story seems like a faerie tale for kids although the description of such tale is
"Faerie Tale is a supernatural thriller, falling within the subgenre of contemporary fantasy"

Well he knew his place and knew better than to offend his superiors.
Even if apocryphal this tale is useful for instruction.

^^| Rumour has it Donald Trump is rousing his rabble, ehm uh, his supporters that is. Haven't heard him refer to Attah Ameh Oboni as patriotic hero yet. May still come
