Nice, a bit of competition might help. No details, I wonder if this is just 'like the A320/B737' or more 'evolved'. Mind you looking at the cockpit picture, which might be similar to other brand's planes, there's still space for improvements. Look at all those displays, knobs, LEDs and whatever. Time for some bright ideas to make things a wee bit simpler I'd say. "China's single aisle passenger jet – the C919 – likely to be certified next week Competes with the A320 and 737, which Airbus and Boeing can't build quickly enough to satisfy demand Two recent flights of the China's domestically made single-aisle passenger jet, the C919, have lent credence to rumors that the nation's aviation authorities are set to issue it an airworthiness certification – and by doing so, give Boeing and Airbus some competition." www.theregister.com/2022/09/14/chinas_c919_passenger_jet_certificationregmedia.co.uk/2022/09/14/shutterstock_2198865295.jpg

I'm very choosy about what planes I will fly in and this one won't be making my list for at least five years or more. I still remember the horror stories from my Beijing days when China tried to copy Boeing parts to save on maintenance contract costs and the crashes that followed. I also remember the Tupulovs and Antanovs at the gates which saw us return to the lounge to wait for the next bus!

I'm sure quality has improved but the Trumpian Trade War which under Biden only got relaxed slightly may have seen the need to source certain parts locally. As all know an inch may be a lot but 0.1" shouldn't be a problem. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Airways_Flight_5390
