Just remembered that I'd joined oldie's favourite forum, Thailand 24-7 or something so I thought I'd give it a look.
Firk me, bad news for changers.
His favourite beer bars between Soi 8 and the police place "look to be definitely closing". Speculation about the future of the land was limited to condo/flipper lodge extension/refurb the bars. Nobody knows. End of an era, sob.
No problem to me, never went much, sad to see it go though.
Perhaps we should all take our wives there for a night out before it finishes. Or perhaps not.
