When one considers the American track record concerning freedom and democracy ethic persons equality etc I am of the opinion that in truth the American government should look out of their glass house and into the outside mirror before they start casting stones at other nations.

That's correct krisb, however it seems as if the senior officer concerned is currently in custody.
Probably a nice confined to barracks job but at least it is one small step in the right direction.

WHat do you expect. What did the French Miliary do to those who killed people in New Zealand in the Rainbow Warrier thing. Sent them to a military base on a big foreign island and gave them parole there...... Militaty (and Governments) always look after their own. |

Spot on.
The dept of dubious operations does indeed look after its own, provide a few low level assets for a sacrifice to appease popular feeling and the fourth estate and the big fish go free.
Sometimes in the interests of state and public security those actions are acceptable.
However in the main they are reprehensible actions.

One of the best movies ever in my view
Search round and it can be downloaded in full, you may find it on YouTube in linked series too.
I downloaded it from a P2P site some 7 or 8 years ago and have it burnt to D.V.D. and on an external 1TB. drive, a great film.
More army orientated as opposed to my navy days.
