If you spell Yen backwards it spells Ney, that sounds like a no to me so there's the answer. I've not had a lot of luck lately with my investing, I can't remember if they said to buy hi and sell low or is it the other way around. You should listen to experts, then you can never go wrong. BoT: Baht to reverse course in H2 The baht depreciation softened in April, supported by the Thai economy's improving momentum, while a central bank executive expects the local currency to strengthen in the second half of this year. I saw that in my Google feed, and another 6 about the Baht in deep shit, plus the PM is pushing for 400 Baht minimum wage.

Who knows, I sure can't see that far. But AUD strength is linked directly to the Chinese economy because China buys lots of your commodities so AUD has long been seen as a proxy for the Chinese economy. AUD/THB peaked two years ago at 25.X and today it's at 22.X, mostly on the back of THB weakness. If China recovers, you'll do well, if THB gets stronger, your rate will be less good. Sorry I can't be more helpful, crystal balls aren't what they used to be.

Markets and the Fed are now calling into question whether there will be any rate cuts at all this year, this is because inflation remains high and the economy doesn't appear to need any stimulus. If rates do remain high, USD will remain strong also and THB will remain weak. The idea of between 47 and 50 throughout this year, is not impossible to imagine. This means my long dated bond purchases are flapping around like a halibut on Morecambe beach when the tide is out. Bugger.

An interesting article certainly worth a read and inwardly digesting. One hopes no indigestation results from reading the article...
Mighty dollar pushes Asian governments to boost currency protection. Asian monetary officials seek to buy time until the U.S. economy slows down
