One of the perks of working where I do is I get all of December off to travel etc. With flights to the UK priced as they are I have decided to stay in country and explore the south, a region I have seen very little of. Planning on making use of the Southern Trainline and making my way down to Hat Yai via Hua Hin, Ban Krut, Surat Thani to hop over to an island- after that I am not sure. Anywhere worth stopping at on the remaining way to Hat Yai?
