Ok, I loved my mother; she was radical and taught me that from birth.
My father a conservative, right wing and we never got on.
How they came to be and conceive me?
History.
Father was conscripted, World War 2 and they married.
No I was not conceived then.
My mother became neurotic, I know from other family members of that generation.
Terrified of the blitz and knowing my father was out there in the war.
Of course he survived or I would not be here.
But I was born long after my father returned.
My mother admitted to me much later in life, she was frigid, had no idea of sex.
Knew my father had experienced things abroad and denied him.
Ah mother!
She instilled in me the F factor.

I will go further down memory lane, just for that idiot on TV.
My mother was the twelfth child, born in the East End of London.
She knew deprivation and hardship.
My father was from a let us say middle class ish family.
One of my favourite stories from my mother was why she was expelled from school.
Older members might remember ink pots in the desk.
The teacher said my mother was an imbecile, she took the ink pot and threw it at the teacher.
Yes she is one to be remembered.

As a digression from the topic. Yes. I do. See below.  The pens!!  Also below that the pen I graduated to after discarding the old school pens when I got into the money (six and sixpence,) a veritable fortune to a 10 year old in 1955!!  |

Happy Mother's day ..... Had a great loving Mom that fell down at 89 and left us too soon......Still as sharp at 89 as anyone you'd find to talk to.....
Married to a great loving Mom now.....Could not say the same for the ex......
We did the childrens' honoring with Jasmine this morning.....Just did the MK run and Swensens.....Now home for a bit then to the Queens garden festivities and fireworks.....Then I'm going to get us busy at bedtime......

Want to know more? My grandmother was the child of a gamekeeper at Sandringham. She had many tales to tell. Died at 106. Loved her! |
